Introducing Our Destinations Reviews: Real Campgrounds, Real Experiences

If you’ve ever tried to research a campground before booking, you probably know the feeling…

You scroll through photos that all look perfect.
You read reviews that are either overly negative or unrealistically positive.
And at the end of it, you’re still not quite sure what it’s actually going to be like when you pull in.

We’ve been there more times than we can count.

That’s exactly why we created this.

Why We Created the Destinations Page

As we’ve traveled, we realized there was a gap between what campgrounds look like online and what they’re actually like when you stay there.

Some places surprised us in the best ways.
Others didn’t quite live up to expectations.

We wanted a place where we could share real, honest experiences from our stays—without the fluff, without the guesswork, and without trying to “sell” anything.

Just our perspective, based on actually being there.

That’s how the Destinations page came to life.

What Makes Our Reviews Different

We’re not just listing features or repeating what a campground’s website says. Every review is based on our real stay and focuses on what actually matters when you’re living or traveling in an RV.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Site Quality & Layout
How the sites are set up, spacing, leveling, and overall feel

  • Amenities & Activities
What’s actually available—and whether it’s worth your time

  • Connectivity (Cell + Starlink)
Real-world performance so you know what to expect if you work remotely

  • Local Eats & Surrounding Area
What’s nearby, what’s worth checking out, and what we enjoyed

  • Honest Pros & Cons
The good, the bad, and everything in between

  • Would We Stay Again?
A simple, honest answer based on our experience

The goal is simple: help you understand what it’s really like to stay there.

What’s Live Right Now

We’re launching the Destinations page with a solid mix of campgrounds we’ve personally stayed at across different states:

  • Thousand Trails Orlando (FL)

  • Encore Sherwood Forest (FL)

  • Hidden Paradise Campground (IN)

  • Minneapolis Southwest KOA Holiday (MN)

  • Thousand Trails Three Flags (FL)

  • Thousand Trails Hidden Cove (AL)

  • Neshonoc Lakeside Campground (WI)

  • Kamp Indy (IN)

Each one includes a full breakdown, ratings, photos, and our honest take after staying there.

How to Use the Destinations Page

We designed this page to be simple and easy to explore.

At the top, you’ll find a few Featured Reviews—a quick look at some of the places we’ve stayed that stood out to us.

From there, you can scroll through All Reviews, where every campground we’ve reviewed is laid out in one place, just like a traditional blog.

Each post gives you a full breakdown of our stay, so you can quickly click into anything that catches your interest.

Whether you’re planning your next stop or just exploring ideas, it’s built to give you a clear, honest look at places we’ve actually experienced.

We’ll also be adding new reviews over time, with at least one new campground review each month as we continue traveling and exploring new places.

A Quick Personal Note

This is something we’ve been wanting to build for a while.

Not just a list of places we’ve been—but something that actually helps other people make better decisions when they’re on the road.

Every review comes from our real experience—what we saw, what we liked, what we didn’t, and what we’d do differently next time.

And we’re just getting started.
